1. Who We Are

StoryVoice ("we," "us," "our") operates the website at storyvoice.io and the StoryVoice application. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our service.

2. Information We Collect

Account information

When you sign up, we collect your email address and password. If you purchase a plan, we collect your name and payment details through our payment processor (Dodo Payments). We do not store credit card numbers on our servers.

Interview data

When you create an interview, we store the customer name, company, product name, and any outcome prompts you configure. When your customer completes a voice interview, the browser converts speech to text locally using the Web Speech API. We receive and store the text transcript only — we never record, transmit, or store audio files.

Generated content

We store the case studies generated from interview transcripts so you can access, edit, and share them.

Usage data

We collect standard web analytics data such as page views, browser type, and device information to improve the service.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and operate the StoryVoice service
• To generate case studies from interview transcripts using AI
• To process payments and manage your subscription
• To send transactional emails (e.g., case study ready notifications)
• To improve and optimize the service
• To respond to support requests

4. AI Processing

Interview transcripts are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate case studies. Transcripts are processed in real time and are not used to train AI models. Anthropic's API usage policy applies to this processing. We do not share your data with any other AI providers.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

• Supabase — database and authentication hosting
• Vercel — application hosting
• Anthropic — AI processing for case study generation
• Dodo Payments — payment processing

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data and interview content for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law.

7. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, secure database hosting with row-level security, and hashed passwords. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Export your interview and case study data

9. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising cookies.
